MAJESTIC CRUISE LINES

Dear Tek Dek,

The Motor Vessel Freewinds has recently completed refurbishments to her outside decks. The Freewinds was built in 1968 at the Wartsila yard in Turku, Finland and has been sailing continually ever since. As the years have stretched into the future there are growing concerns with the environment and consumable items used in ships construction. One item that looks good but that is becoming more scarce and its extraction from the environment more damaging is teak. We chose Tek Dek as an alternative to teak for environmental reasons as well as care and maintenance. It is easy to apply, it doesn't require expensive tools to install, it is durable and it looks great. We have had it under heavy use for the past month and have had no problems.
